XAUUSD seemed to react to the fall in US stocks +> risk off, reversing to test the upside.
As the chart show, there are layers of resistance ahead of the record 2685 high.
2I am still treating the range a 2600-1700 where 2650, which now needs to become support to keep the record high on the radar , will continue to set its tone.
I don’t know if you folks have arrived to the same conclusion but I have learned over time that if I go with my first instinct I am right almost every time but if I over complicate things and do not go with that first instinct that is when I miss.
The primary flow in Sterling has been the buy side but is basically sideways all morning and so one would think we see the equilibrium point of 3060 minimum seen again.

If you search for my posts when EURUSD was above 1.10 you would have seen me point out 1.1000 => 1/0949 => 1.0881 as the risks (using The Amazing Trader).
Low today came close at 1.0885 and looking at this chart you can see why this area (use 1.0880-85) is significant with a 100_ pip void below it.
On the upside, there is resistance at 1.0916-26-36 but only back above 1.0950-55 would neutralize the broader risk.

Probability of the next move is slowly shifting to the Upper side.
Time wise, this wave should be over, and fact that it spent last 4 days in a very narrow range with higher lows every day is signalling an attempt to break Up.
