France’s credit rating was put on a negative outlook by Moody’s Ratings in the third warning in the space of two weeks over the deterioration of public finances and the political challenges in containing containing swollen budget deficits.
A CTA in San Diego California (Southern California Naval Base and beautiful city) reminded me long ago that “markets overshoot.” I am of the opinion that may apply to today’s price activity in some currencies but the dominant trend of say a week time frame has not been broken for them. UsdChf included, where the dominant trend is still the sell side even with the overshoot.
In my view EurUsd remains a buy and has not even overshot the trend yet. I really hope Geo events do not change that because it would also mean stocks get pummeled along with a lot of people’s net stock worth. Fridays tend to have that dynamic quite a bit.
I do not understand the exactitude of what is “classic” example
but in my mind, having seen the up and down price travels today
I was imagining the testing (and failing)m of some specific price points to that of pulling on a tiny hair of sleeping mustiff see if it swiftly comes up to bite or contibue to snore n sleep, just maybe flicking its ear
GVI 3:37 / Friday’s have the particular feature of being end-of day AND end-of-week in FX world
Which means position squaring is the preferred if not dominant dish on the trading menu.
I think the most practical and valuable point in our discussion was the gaging abilty of odds of balance of sellers and buyers both at specific pricepoints as well as time points in the NY trading session which overlaps with London’s end-of-day.

How many PAC-3 interceptors the Navy will need is uncertain, but overall demand is “through the roof,” said Tom Karako, a missile defense expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington.
