Chinese stocks listed in the U.S., including NIO Inc are trading lower.
There is some commotion going on around social media about it…
Looking at news nothing interesting pops up …So what’s the deal??
I think I know the answer to this one : investors that were late to catch up on Tesla run were looking around to jump on the next best wagon , and they picked up Nio – Electrical auto maker from China.
First hand info : they were buying it around 60$ and now it costs only around 5$ – so wishful thinking syndrome most probably .
Alas, it looks to me like a dead fish in a dirty water….that’s all…a bit lower and it will trade in negative territory – that is a situation when they give away their stocks and if you take it you get some money as well with it – those of you that are a bit less young might remember when they were selling Yugo ( so called a car) and if you bought it you got a big screen TV with it for free…
Nvidia Stock Drops as Market Uncertainty and Tech Sector Pressure Increase
Nvidia NVDA is facing increased market uncertainty as shares dip following Super Micro Computer’s SMCI recent auditor resignation. SMCI, a key Nvidia partner, announced the abrupt departure of its auditor, raising transparency concerns. Nvidia relies heavily on SMCI for critical hardware components powering its AI and data center products, creating investor wariness about potential supply chain risks.
Earnings from AMD could be more of a worry. The results the company published late Tuesday were roughly in line with Wall Street’s expectations, but it forecast slightly less revenue than expected for the December quarter.
Microsoft Corp. MSFT plummeted over 5% by midday trading in New York, on track for its worst session in two years. Although the company surpassed earnings estimates, it forecasted slower growth in its Azure cloud business, dampening future revenue expectations.
Loonie Puts are green but it is because of the prices in Asia.  Lonnie is strong on the buy side and could set in for duration. Expecting some retrace coming up beforehand.
Euro is picking up and could play a small role in tempering the Sterling selling and drive it toward 2955 (price magnet in my system). Unless some internal dynamics change it would be another good sell area in many cases.
You would have to physically force me to buy Sterling right now. Better to wait for buy side flows to exhaust a bit higher. A matter of patience with this one.
